Paradise Found

This exquisite rental home is spacious, comfortable, bright, airy, and clean as a whistle. Excellent location, right on the waterfront and close to town center but feels secluded because of the quiet neighbourhood and dead end street. Room enough for everyone, with multiple common spaces for different activities. The back deck was particularly wonderful for relaxing as a family while watching the tides come and go. Every detail was perfect, down to the table set up for our exact number of guests and the bottles of cold water waiting for us in the fridge. Plenty of dishes, towels, spices, cooking equipment, etc. Hot tub room was wonderfully set up and has a water view. We would definitely stay here again! Perfect for families with kids of all ages, too (our group included a 5-year old and two 1-year olds). Take note, though, that the stairs down to the beach are quite steep and therefore not good for children, but there are good public stairs really close by. Owner very fast to respond to questions, friendly, and reasonable. All in all, this place was perfect!

Clean and well stocked kitchen and home

The property was really well stocked with Beach Towels, drying rack, washing machine and dryer, herbs and spices, tea and coffee, Tupperware and ice pack for day trips and some beach toys. We used the barbecue as well as the kitchen for cooking with plenty of supermarkets around. The location was really close to the beach (steep access) and a short walk to easier access. We enjoyed trips to Qualicum, Englishman’s River, Rathtrevor, Cathedral Grove and Cowichan (tubing was amazing). Finally, the property was super clean.

Great property

There were 3 adult couples and 2 single adults in our group and the house size and layout accommodated us easily and flexibly. Bedrooms, kitchen, dining and group gathering areas all worked perfectly for us. The house was very well appointed and we were able to find everything we needed and more. We loved the close access to the beach and the abundance of bird life, especially the eagles. There are some restrictions on the stairs to the beach but the public access is close by. This lovely home is a real winner in our experience and really contributed to a wonderful and successful vacation.

Parksville stay

This is a really lovely home which was perfect for our party of 10 guests. The teenagers particularly enjoyed the games room downstairs, whilst the adults enjoyed relaxing on the lovely balcony. Fabulous big kitchen. House was really well equipped and a short 1 mile walk from the beach. Thanks for a great stay.

Girls Trip

Property was excellent for our needs. Communication with owner was great. Everything was as described in listing. Pricing was fair. Kitchen was perfect for our meals we had at the house. Loved the location on the island for our second half of our trip to Vancouver Island. View off the top covered deck was spectacular.

Beachfront

We had a great stay at the Beachfront house. The house is in a very quiet area and overlooks the water. It is a very good location from which to venture out to sights and attractions to the north, west and south. There were 7 of us and the house was very roomy. The best part was undoubtedly the water view from the 2nd floor. So gorgeous! We hung out on the 2nd floor patio and enjoyed a few happy hours. The kitchen was very well-furnished and sharing great home-cooked meals at the large dining table, with the water in the background, was another highlight. All in all, Nicole was a very accommodating host who went out of her way to ensure our well-being and satisfaction.

Wedding in Parksville

We were a group of 8 that were attending a wedding in Parksville. The location and beach views were a bonus. With so many of us in one house it was very spacious and we had enough room to spread out and have our own space. Yes the stairs are steep to the beach, but it wasn't a problem for any of us except our elderly parents who were perfectly happy to enjoy the amazing view from the living area inside the home as well as the outdoor deck. For us it was an investment to be able to stay here but we did save A LOT of money by being able to cook all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. We would have been hard-pressed to find a dining view equal to ours. The yard was a little unkept, the garbage / recycling bins outside were not emptied upon arrival and the hot tub was foamy/sandy. I think if cleaners / grounds keepers were given a little more time between renters these are things that are easily rectified. All in all it was a good week and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

​Perfect for our family

The location was excellent being walking distance from the beach and 20 minutes walk from the town of Parksville. We’re a family of five and the accommodation was perfect. Three beds for three kids and a bedroom downstairs for us and all the beds had duvets as opposed to blankets. The bathrooms were very well stocked and shower gel and shampoo was also provided. There are plenty of towels and everything was very well cleaned. The kitchen is also very well stocked with herbs, spices & oil for cooking as well as all the utensils & crockery one could need for a short stay. There is also a bbq available and the propane tank was full. There are also beach toys and camping chairs that we were able to use while we were there. I would like the opportunity to visit again if we’re ever in Parksville.

Quiet and friendly

We traveled with our family of 3 young kids and it was a very family friendly place to stay. Located in a quiet neighbourhood, it was only a couple minutes walk down to Parksville beach from the path outside and 20 minute walk into town. The house itself was clean, kitchen was well stocked, and the wi-fi worked well. Thank you, Nicole, for having us!

Family reunion

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of Parksville beach. The property is considered high bank with steep stairs leading to the beach, challenging for young children and elderly, but negotiable with guidance. The house is ideal for family reunions. Our group was ten in number, six young adults and two grandchildren and two grandparents. There is lots of seating around kitchen table and workable counter space. There is lots of seating options about the house for quieter moments. A large screen TV is located downstairs for gaming and movies. The covered deck was very comfortable with glass surrounds for a wind break. There is a lower deck halfway down the embankment which is a pleasing retreat. We had a very enjoyable family weekend at this home and would love to come back.

Peaceful and quiet

Nicole’s home was beautiful. It was so peaceful to sit on the covered deck with a coffee in the morning and watch the ocean. There was so much wildlife and so quiet! We had the massive beach all to ourselves when the tide was out it was unreal how relaxing it was. I honestly can’t say enough good things. If your looking for a vacation on the ocean, this is the place. Almost every room upstairs and down had a perfect view. I had a little bit of trouble with some of my plans for our weekend and Nicole was so helpful. We could have stayed another week! The house had everything you could possibly want and need. I hope I can come stay again soon.

Spotless

Nicole our host had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully decorated, kitchen well equipped to make our own meals. Situated in a very peaceful residential area but minutes away from the beaches and children's community parks. Stayed with my daughter and two granddaughters. We would love to come back. We felt lucky to have found this special place.

Our new favorite place

We loved staying at Nicole’s home during our 2 week quarantine. The view is spectacular and the indoor and outdoor space is amazing. Everything was perfect during our stay. There are so many great things...from the arrival instructions, the basic pantry items to get started, spacious well equipped kitchen, the hot tub in the well lit area, games to play, comfy beds and so much more. We would love to visit again in the lovely home just steps from the beach. This is one of our new favourite places!

Truly spectacular

This home is truly spectacular. The view is amazing and is the added bonus to this spacious and beautifully appointed home. With its own private access to the beach, you can walk out during low tide and have fun exploring the tide pools or just relax on the beautiful deck and watch an eagle come and go from his perch in front of the house. What a gem. And Nicole was a great and responsive host. We hope to return!

A wonderful host

Nicole was a wonderful host - highly responsive, attentive and very accommodating. The house is excellent and well stocked - works really well for larger groups. The view and the location are priceless - what an amazing experience to have the beach at your fingertips. While it is not a sandy beach that is comfortable for bathing - it is excellent for walking, relaxing meditating and just enjoying the peace and quiet that Nicole’s house offers. It is very close to Rathtrevor park and beach. We came here for a family reunion and thanks to Nicole’s home we were able to have a true family gathering with everyone staying together. Highly recommend!
